Dangerous Goods Training (DGT) is a Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) training completion certificate issued internationally by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). It confirms the successful completion of the Dangerous Goods Awareness (DGA) course and exam.

Dangerous Goods courses are designed to ensure security, health and safety procedures for handling, packing, storing, shipping and transporting hazardous materials.

The need for dangerous goods training has become more prevalent over the past few years due to the increased complexity of handling these dangerous goods.

The transport of dangerous goods has become much more complicated due to the various nature of shipping locations. Security measures have become much tighter, especially at airports which are now concerned about the safety of their passengers.

The main objective of dangerous goods training is to ensure that the student involved is able to identify the criteria regarding the transport of dangerous goods.

This involves ensuring that the student understands the nature of these goods and how to handle them according to International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations .

This training covers packing, labeling, handling, storing, transporting, identifying and classifying dangerous goods for international travel. The course also includes additional topics about the transport of dangerous goods by road, rail and sea.
